According to the 2025 Impact Rankings results announced by Times Higher Education (THE), Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) once again demonstrated its performance in the field of sustainability. In the ranking prepared in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations, IGU was in the 601-800 band worldwide. Having made a significant leap from last year's 801-1000 band with this success, IGU has once again proven that it continues its steady progress in the field of sustainability.
Istanbul Gelisim University hosted an important meeting on June 12, 2025 in order to improve the continuity of international accreditation processes and the understanding of quality-oriented education. The meeting was attended by representatives of departments accredited by international accreditation bodies such as AQAS (Germany), ABET (United States) and AHPGS (Germany). Meeting was carried out under the chairmanship of Vice Rector for Quality, Accreditation and Internationalization Prof. Arda Öztürkcan.
The document presentation ceremony held at Yıldız Technical University Davutpaşa Campus Historical Bath Building brought together 12 universities accredited by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK). Istanbul Gelisim University Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin and Vice Rector Prof. Arda Öztürkcan attended the ceremony. YÖKAK President Prof. Ümit Kocabiçak, Vice President Prof. Mustafa Çufalı and members of the board of directors also took part.
Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Quality Commission held its meeting numbered 2025-06 on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, which was chaired by Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Health Sciences (SBF) has successfully completed the international accreditation process. As a result of the evaluations carried out by the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), which makes independent evaluations to improve the quality of education, the accreditations of the faculty's Nutrition and Dietetics (Turkish-English), Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (Turkish-English) and Nursing (Turkish-English) departments were renewed. With the renewed accreditations, IGU has maintained its position as the university with the most internationally accredited departments in Türkiye.

The results of the “UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024” has been announced. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), which attracts attention with its environmental sustainability studies, has achieved another significant success by continuing its rise in previous years. IGU, whichfirst entered the GreenMetric ranking in 2022, ranked 677th in the world ranking with a total score of 6070 with an increase of 435 points this year. IGU, which ranks 70th among all universities in Türkiye, was ranked 15th among foundation universities in Türkiye.
