Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Quality Commission held its meeting numbered 2025-06 on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, which was chaired by Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin. During the meeting, the results of the evaluation of IGU's five-year full accreditation during the Institutional Accreditation process carried out by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) were discussed. Abdulkadir Gayretli, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IGU, also attended the meeting.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) was fully accredited for 5 years as a result of the institutional accreditation evaluation carried out by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK). After the detailed audit process in December, IGU was entitled to receive accreditation at the highest level with the high standards it has shown in the fields of education, research and development, management system and community service.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Health Sciences (SBF) has successfully completed the international accreditation process. As a result of the evaluations carried out by the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), which makes independent evaluations to improve the quality of education, the accreditations of the faculty's Nutrition and Dietetics (Turkish-English), Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (Turkish-English) and Nursing (Turkish-English) departments were renewed. With the renewed accreditations, IGU has maintained its position as the university with the most internationally accredited departments in Türkiye.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Türkiye's most internationally accredited university, continues to carry out its accreditation processes meticulously in order to bring the quality of education to global standards. In this context, the Evaluation Committee of the International Independent Accreditation Agency AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs) visited the university within the scope of the accreditation renewal studies of the departments in the field of Banking and Finance within the IGU Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.

Between December 17-19, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU)—the Turkish university holding the highest number of international accreditations—hosted a visit from representatives of AQAS, an independent international accreditation body and member of the European Quality Assurance Association, to review and renew the international accreditation processes of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The results of the “UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024” has been announced. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), which attracts attention with its environmental sustainability studies, has achieved another significant success by continuing its rise in previous years. IGU, whichfirst entered the GreenMetric ranking in 2022, ranked 677th in the world ranking with a total score of 6070 with an increase of 435 points this year. IGU, which ranks 70th among all universities in Türkiye, was ranked 15th among foundation universities in Türkiye.

The US-based "Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology" (ABET) Committee, a non-profit and independent non-governmental organization that evaluates engineering faculties, visited Istanbul Gelisim University between 15-19 November 2024 as part of its efforts to renew the international accreditations of academic programs.
